Ram 1500 Uconnect Carplay System

Of course, even the most advanced infotainment systems need an upgrade every once in a while, which is why FCA is introducing the Uconnect 5 infotainment system. With more connectivity than ever and welcome features, the Uconnect 5 interface will inform and entertain driver and their passengers more than ever.


Uconnect 5 Upgrades

With how advanced the previous Uconnect interface was, it might seem difficult to introduce even more incredible features to it. Nevertheless, the infotainment team at FCA was able to introduce a number of new bells and whistle for the Uconnect 5 system. One of the most exciting changes is the ability to simultaneously connect two separate phones via a Bluetooth® connection. Previous iterations of Uconnect limited this connection to just one mobile device. Uconnect 5 also introduce five different personalization profiles, meaning if everyone in your family uses the same FCA model, you'll have an interface designed with you in mind. Plus, with an interactive screen measuring 12.3 inches, this is the most screen area ever for an FCA vehicle.


Uconnect 5 Third Party Services

Some of the most important capabilities of the FCA Uconnect system is how it interfaces with third party apps and systems. Uconnect 5 builds off the connective relationship previous Uconnect systems have shared with these services. For example, Amazon Alexa can now be accessed from the interior of select FCA vehicles, meaning you can take all of your burning questions for Alexa with you on the go. Uconnect 5 also introduces wireless versions of Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, granting even more ease of access. On-the-go entertainment is also more accessible via the SiriusXM® 360L service and new Personalized Stations Powered by Pandora.
